Please report old boy often noticed obnoxiously posting usually brash,
latently impertinent comments online.

It?s his birthday now - local summer time.
Let me be the first: Happy Birthday and many returns of the same!!

?Viel Glück und viel Segen auf all Deinen Wegen,
Gesundheit und Frohsein sei auch mit dabei.?

(If Poli-guru and Scriptor join in, we can sing a canon.)

The prize will go to the GAR who comes closest to posting on the hour
(any hour). Dead heats will be decidedly arbitrarily by the quality
of the comment.

Commenters are, of course, invited to join in, preferably avoiding the
rush on the hour.

Clarification of Question by myoarin-ga on 22 Oct 2006 13:48 PDT
Darn! My intention was that a posting on any xx:00 time was valid,
not that the GARs should all try to post at once.
This is not a change in the rules, just a clarification. Second
posting will be accepted. Tutz doesn't have to watch the clock and
gets a bonus question.

This is not for my gratification but to celebrate Bryan's birthday.
Don't let me down. :-)

Tutuzdad,

You not only scared off any clock-watching competition here, with a
bit of urging you provided an answer of exceptional quality
(elsewhere, for anyone confused).

Please post an answer, any answer.

Best regards, Myo

No thank you friend. I've dipped too deeply in your generous pockets
already for what I'm worth. In case you are wondering though, it isn't
too difficult to meet the requirements of your question here. You will
note that I simply posted a comment to this unrelated question on 21
Oct 2006 16:44 PDT (in which I simply winked " ;) "

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=774676

This provided me with a time frame of roughly 1 minute or less of GA
time, to which I synchronized my computer clock. I then waited until
my computer clock reflected 17:00 PDT, waited an extra 20 seconds
(just to be sure) and took a chance that I would be the first
commenter to hit the ENTER key. Viola! The end result was a post right
on the money on the first attempt. Simple really.

LOL
Dad

Well, if you're going to be like that ...

I figured it took a bit longer: borrowing the kitchen timer to remind
you that the full hour was coming up, etc.

Thanks for joining in the innocent fun, and I hope many more will
still wish Bryan a belated happy birthday. And thanks, Cynthia, for
bringing back a glimpse of our youth.

Regards, Myo

Indeed, the most clever answer determines the winner if in fact
promptness does not prevail. How clever is it, I wonder, to achieve
the difficult task you set before us on the first attempt? I shall let
you decide.

I've arrived too late at the party to win the door prize, so I'll just
drop off a birthday card and tiptoe away.

I hope I'm this late for my own funeral....

I can only wish you the happiest of birthdays since we are so far
apart, however if you were here I would show you a map to Pinky's
house and buy you a drink.

Wow ... Even More!

Very many thanks ...

And a special round of applause for Cynthia ...

I never expected that she would perform just for me!

(I always wondered what Cyn looked like and I like what I see.)

Wow Bryan, you flatter me! I weigh a bit more than Marilyn, though
not much, and I do have (bottle) blond hair. The resemblance stops
there. Here's a peek (shhh

my dirver's license.

Wow, Many Thanks, Cynthia!

And, thanks to photoshop, I've now got a huge version (well 6ft x 4ft)
that I am sending to be framed.

However, to make space for it in my Portrait Gallery, something will have to go ...

Maybe the Rembrandt? Or the Da Vinci (no, not the Mona Lisa; his Brown Code book).

I can always relegate one of those to the cellar where it can hang
near the portraits of Sublime1 and Mother911.

What do you think?

Bryan, have two made and send me one. Remember, you (we) never would
have got it without my question.
Well, on second thought, 6' by 4' would be a little overpowering
hanging in the corner next to my computer. Maybe I can download the
picture and use it as screen saver ...

Greetings to you both, Myo

'Overpowering', Myo?

I think that the word you were searching for is 'Inspiring'.

Yes, indeedy, we owe it all to you for the question ...

But, knowing your prowess as an oarsman, I would have thought that you
would have wanted a bust carved for your prow.

Sounds like the title of an intriguing novel, "The Bust of Myoarin".

Happy Birthday, Bryan! And this is very thoughtful of you, dear Myo!

GARs posting pictures! Wow! I mean, we all know what most of us look
like, but posting on GA itself? Dang. Do you really have photos of
Sublime and Mother, too? You're missing quite a few . . .

Hi Queen Ha

"Do you really have photos of Sublime and Mother, too?"

Not photos, no - they're supposed to be oil paintings but, believe me,
neither is an oil painting.

"The Bust of Myoarin"

I'm not sure the world needs that - shades of the Maltese Falcon:
all the first round of characters searching for a marble bust, and
then Bryan coming into the story and getting his web-savvy friend
Mycroft (aka Answerfinder) to discover a court case about Myoarin's
being busted for something unsavoury.

Well, maybe it could be an intriguing novel, just leave my name out of it.
Where's Archae0pterix? Not that she needs new material.

An interesting concept
- an eight rigged out like a Viking longboat

I like it - nice idea Probo
