jowei... Researchers are paid when they post an answer in the official answer area, which is only available to them. Often, if we're unsure if the response we provide will satisfy the question, we post a Request for Clarification first. Thank you for confirming my post as a deserving answer. I'll repost it here for the sake of future readers. ------------------------------------------------------------- I wasn't able to find any way to do it under Windows, short of using a monochrome monitor. If you have a Mac, there's an option built into the system preferences: http://www.macobserver.com/tip/2006/10/20.1.shtml ------------------------------------------------------------- As for Windows, I've never heard of this having been a feature of past releases, nor have I heard of any intent to include it in future releases. Too bad, really, because it is a good way to reduce eyestrain and provide some variety for someone who uses a computer all day. That's actually what drew me to the question, and piqued my interest in researching it. I'm looking at my monitor for most of the day, and have an Nvidia graphics card with ATI tray tools, and I thought it might be quite a pleasant way to alter the experience for the better. Unfortunately, I have Windows, and it seems to require a video driver which neither Microsoft or the graphics card makers have opted to pursue for Windows. Hi jowei... Yes, I got paid - thanks! It may be that you'll see two separate charges - one for the question and one for the tip. And I notice that the tip didn't get tallied in October, as the question was. It wasn't invoiced until November 1. Perhaps the total was updated at that time, and you'll see it all on your November statement. Best regards... sublime1-ga |
