I currently own a webcam capable of recording 30 frames per second of video at 1280x1024pixel resolution. Using MSN, Skype, and yahoo messenger I find the quality of the image is nowhere near what my camera is capable of, and when I compare the image to my iSight(using iSight) there is no comparisson). I've also noticed MSN is using 45-50kbps of my connection when connected while my iSight uses +250kbps. I am looking for a reasonably priced (<$100/license) webcam messaging service that is able to take advantage of my broadband connection providing picture the best picture quality possible given my hardware. All parties chatting will have a 24mbps/5mbps connection. I would settle for an easy to use video conferencing software package that would allow me to video chat with multiple parties at once but this is not a necessity. Quality and ease of use are the main things i'm looking for. MSN has the ease of use but lacks severely in the quality department. | |
