I'm taking a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (Ocean Golf and
Sand Resort, Playa Arena Gorda, Bavaro) at the end of Decemember. I'm
wondering whether there's any opportunity for "stand up" surfing (not
windsurfing or boogie boarding). I'd be currious to know whether
there's anything within
walking distance (or easily reachable w/o a car rental from our
resort). Also, I'd like to know whether there are surf rentals nearby
- or whether i should bring my own surf board. Finally, if i have to
bring my own surfboard - will a shortboard be okay?
