I'm trying to start a community newspaper (advertising-supported,
circulation about 3000), and while I know a lot about journalism, I
know very little about publishing software. I've looked at web sites
for everything from Quark to Adobe Framemaker to Microsoft Publisher,
but still don't have a good sense how to proceed; Whch software would
you recommend for me? Right now, my main goal is to be able to produce
a good printed edition (tabloid size, roughly 32 pages per weekly
issue), but it would be nice to have a tool that would also prepare
the content (and ads?) for a planned website. I appreciate any help
and advice you can offer.
