I am a psychiatric nursing instructor and teach at a local private
psych hospital where I have 8 students for six weeks. There are two
locked psych floors and two detox floors. Please advise me on how to
meet the four criteria I list given the following circumstances:
?	Four inpatient floors.
?	Two detox (E1 and E2) and two locked psych (D1 and S2).
?	Eight students.
?	Two students per floor per night.
?	Six week rotation (Tuesday and Wednesday each week).
The following criteria must be met:
?	Each student must be on the same floor for both days of each week.
?	Each student must have three weeks on a detox floor and three weeks
on a locked psych floor.
?	Each student needs to experience a minimum of three floors.
?	Each student should get to work with six different partners.

Some clarification please:
What do you mean by:
Each student must be on the same floor for both days of each week.
Both as in Tuesday and Wednesday?
Also, what do you mean by Rotation on Tues and Wed each week?
Thanks

Nectar666,

I believe that "each student must be on the same floor for both days
of each week" means that they would be on the same floor (for example
on D1) on both Tuesday and Wednesday of the week that they are
scheduled to be on that floor.

Six week rotation probably means that he is working with the same
group of 8 students for 6 weeks. Then he may get a new group of 8
students that he will work with for another 6 weeks.

Hope this helps. I tried to work on this last night for fun, but gave
up. I think that it wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the "each
student should get to work with six different partners" criterium.
That's when I gave up. Good luck to you

Hi, would it be ok to split one of the weeks in half, so the students
swap in the middle of the week. I think you need to split the time up
to enable each student to work with 6 others within the 6 weeks.
This is enough to drive you nuts :-)
p.s. Nice nickname.
