Hello
I am looking to build 2 terrabyte plus storage area network for
storing and accessing of video images. I do need NAS but I need SAN.
If I go in the market for purchasing a SAN like this , it will cost me
a lot. I need a solution

1) Where I can build a SAN by myself using all possible technical
expertise. ( I did handled complex and costly SAN for big
corporations..with LINUX and SUN servers)
2) I need best possible version/brand of used or refurbished SAN. I
need me to be pointed to few good source to get good SAN

I need to make best possible realistic estimate with comparative
analysis with differnet brand such as IBM , EMC, Dell Hitachi or HP or
anything linux based or generic.

Thanks

Here is how to built a 1.5 terabyte storage area network (SAN) without
a SAN vendor and for less than $35,000, a third of what vendors charge
for equipment alone?never mind pesky consulting and integration fees.

Or I suggest the IPStor product from FalconStor, Inc. is the only
information storage solution
available today that provides unified SAN and NAS storage
infrastructure at a fraction of the cost of comparable component-level
products.
