I recently bought a couch from Target, it is basically a metal frame with stretchy mess covered pads. I was trying to clean a stain out of it using carpet spot remover, but now it stinks (very badly, almost like a skunk). I have tried to soak up all stain remover, and also Freebeezed heavily, but it continues to smell, is there anything I can do? | |

Smells come from ionized air. Free floating charged particles that need to 'cling' to something, they react with your nose, and that's why you smell it. Febreeze helps to de-ionize things to remove odor. So do 'dryer sheets' that you in the clothes dryer. I would give it a good rub down with some dryer sheets first. Alternatively, keep an electric ionizer in the room. Alternatively, you can try to oxidize whatever is in there, there are various oxygenator cleaners out there, but most would probably end up messing up the color (kinda like leaving something in the sun for years). |
