Can reward points be purchased to give to our hotel guests? You know,
the kind that credit card companies and hotels offer. Who offers them?

selon-ga:

Can you tell us where your hotel is located (ie. in which country, and
preferably which state or province in that country)?

I know of at least one leading loyalty points program in Canada that
provides exactly this option for small Canadian businesses looking for
a way to reward their customers. Depending on where in the world you
are located, a similar solution may exist for you, too.

An additional question... are you only interested in the kind of
reward points offered by credit card companies and hotel chains, or
would you be interested in airline reward programs as well? I also
happen to know of an airline points program in the US that provides
the sort of solution you are looking for.

Hello, Selon

To help you understand the answers which are given in the end, we need
to see more details.

There are two kinds of points.
1. The points that the holders could use only within these companies and hotels.
2. The points that could be used not only within these companies and
hotels but also some listed companies or locations.

But in both cases, these companies or the hotels themselves create
those points. That is a marketing method.

Let's have an example.

1.I have a hotel and I operate it well so that I earn very good money.
But I still want more customers in my hotels. What can I do? I could
promise my customers that every time they stay in my hotel, every 100
dollars they spend in the hotel, they get 10 points. The points could
be accumulated and have expired dates. The customer could exchange
everything that have been provided a price in the points way/ for
example, one night for a single room is 600points and a room service
sandwich is 40points. So that by staying in my hotel more often, they
could get something back. Compare to those hotels where they cannot
get anything back, of course the customers will choose me. In this
way, I managed to keep my old customers.

2. When I succeed in keeping the old customers, I decide to develop
some new ones. I then contact some airline companies because the
people who travel also need hotels to stay in. The airline companies
finally make an agreement with me: Those who fly with them, every 100
km they get not only the points from them, but also from my hotel,
let?s say 40 points. Same way around, the customer in my hotels could
get not only points from hotel but also the airline companies.

So let?s go back to the questions. These points are created for a
marketing purpose, those who created them will not sell, they give it
back to attract the next visit. So, the answer is? No, they cannot be
purchased.? The second answer would be ?these companies or banks
create them themselves?.

So, in this case, if you really want to provide reward points to your
guests, you could either create them yourself, or co-operate with some
other companies.

I wish this answers your question and is helpful for you.

All the best,

Tingting

To address the comment above from tingtingsong-ga...

... your comment presumes that all consumer rewards programs are
created by and owned by a hotel, credit card issuer, or other such
company, as a differentiator from their competitors. This ignores
those programs created by independent companies specifically for the
purpose of providing an outsourced loyalty management option for
businesses that choose not to create their own program. Such programs
do exist in several parts of the world.

To Agh-ga,

Thank you so much for this information. That is a good business as
where I live, seems there is none. May I need where/ which
country/which company for example is doing this so that I could take a
close look.

Nice meeting you here;-)
