I would like to know the full url to use so that I can get a word
translated by entering the url in php and getting the result through
an http request.

It's gonna be something along the lines of:

http://www.appliedlanguage.com/free_translation.shtml?textTranslation=true&ddlPlainTextPairs=en_fr&transtext=home+based+business

But I can't figure out the exact url I need.  That's where YOU come in
to help me figure it out :)

maybe the application run at the server ,only show the result in the
textarea ,,so ,ni can't get anything that you want

Does your server have CURL installed?
