Hello, semelo-ga!

The U.S. Census Bureau's "American Fact Finder" database is your best
bet for finding the specific demographic information you are seeking
by City/Town or zipcode.

American Fact Finder

sheet for your community by selecting for State, City/Town, County or
Zipcode.

Hello, semelo!

I am not sure what I am missing here. I provided several "databases"
containing the most up-to-date figures provided by the U.S. census
bureau. Both Factfinder and Quickfacts contain population, age, sex
and income data for each individual state, and most major cities and
towns within each state. Additionally, you can supplement data and dig
more in depth by utilizing the Melissa database and searching by
individual zip code or town name which will break the numbers down
even further as to location.

 Example for Auburn, Alabama:

Looking at the city of Auburn, Alabama, you can determine the total
population, the percentage of the population by sex, by age groupings,
the median household income and the per capita income.
http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/01/0103076.html

Here is another set of figures for Auburn, Alabama by the U.S. Census
Factfinder, which breaks down the population into actual numbers
rather than percentages.
http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/SAFFFacts?_event=Search&geo_id=04000US01&_geoContext=01000US%7C04000US01&_street=&_county=Auburn&_cityTown=Auburn&_state=04000US01&_zip=&_lang=en&_sse=on&ActiveGeoDiv=geoSelect&_useEV=&pctxt=fph&pgsl=040&_submenuId=factsheet_1&ds_name=DEC_2000_SAFF&_ci_nbr=null&qr_name=&reg=%3Anull&_keyword=&_industry=

==

To supplement the population figures by age and sex, you can utilize
the zip-code feature of Melissa Data (it does not provide an income
breakdown, however)

See all zip codes for Auburn, Alabama
http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/ZipCityPhone.asp?InData=Auburn+Alabama&Proc=Submit

Select Auburn zipcode 36830, for example
 http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/ZipCityPhone.asp?zip=36830

NOW CLICK ON TAB ON TOP FOR CITY DEMOGRAPHICS

City Demographics for Auburn zip code 36830
 http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/demo2000.asp?city=AUBURN&fips=01081

==

I am quite satisfied that I have answered your question with several
databases that provide the most complete information provided by the
U.S. Census bureau as to population, sex, age and income for
towns/cities and zipcodes within the United States.

Sincerely,

umiat
