The only descriptions we have of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon appear
in the writings of some Greek poets and historians, but even then, the
gardens existence is disputed. There is no archaeological evidence
which supports their existence, although some claim the outside walls
may have been found.

As for their recreation. The descriptions are very general so you can
be fairly creative without fear of criticism. This site contains many
artists? impressions of the gardens and may give you some ideas.

dont think any body realized it was just a large hydroponic system but
