Timber prices fluctuate with changes in supply and demand and location. I doubt that there is a cohesive global market. Saw mills and lumber yards don't generally stockpile when prices are down because the owners of timberland then don't sell any more than they have to, since they are in the nice position of being able to watch their timber continue to grow while they wait for prices to rise. I may be wrong, but I am of the opinion that "eucalyptus timber" is a much too broad category. Could you give us more details: type(s) of eucalyptus timber and its uses, where growing, what is "long term" for you? Please note: the email notification system is defunct.
