I am looking for answers to the following questions:

Number of software developers in the world, broken out by both region
and technology platform (Java, Microsoft)

Revenue spent on development tools for the last three years broken out as above.

Revenue spent on testing tools for the last three years broken out as above.

Projected revenues and or growth rates for the above two items.

I will require source information for the above references

Hello jonji-ga,

You'll have a much better chance of getting at least a partial answer
if you close this question and post four new questions -- one for each
topic. You have four separate research projects listed here. No
researcher will attempt such a question because the odds of not being
able to answer all of them is extremely high. If you post separate
questions for each topic several researchers will be able to work on
your question at the same time and you might get some answers even if
not all of your questions are answerable. Good luck.
