A few years ago (2003 or 2004) I was driving to Virginia Beach one
winter day. I had
some Public Radio station (I think) tuned in and was very near the
extreme limits of the signal. An show with amusing songs was on and I
was able to make out part of one hilarious square-dance sounding ditty
about the Kreb's cycle (aka the other names in the question subject
line above) that described the complex process in detail-- even, if
memory serves, the conversion of citrate back to oxaloacetate.

Any clue on such a song?

I'm sorry, Rainbow and Stan, but I have seen both your suggestions and
neither are it. The one I heard was a hoedown sort of tune.

I tried looking up radio stations in the VA tidewater area to see if I
could figure out where I heard it to no avail.

*sigh*
