My daughter has been living on the streets in SoCA for years.  She
receives a VA and soc sec check.  My husband passed away nearly a year
ago and have tried to contact my daughter with this information.  She
has a p o box in Redondo Beach that is paid up but her mail has not
been picked up in weeks.  Have contacted local police depts with no
luck.  Contacted one of those agencies who find people for a fee but
they never responded.  Anyone have any suggestions.  We are all

If your daughter is picking up her SS checks, the SSA will forward a
letter from you to her at the address they send her checks to. See

Unfortunately, there's nothing they can do if she chooses not to
respond to the letter. If the letter doesn't work, I'd recommend
contacting a private investigator. Since you know where she gets her
mail, finding her may be easy, and thus inexpensive. Good luck!
