They are used to support nursing practice. It's a model. Thanks for

It looks like they want you to write their college essay..... but
thats just a guess since they didn't really ask for anything specific.

b) What role? What is the function? why?
c) Whats happening in nursing profession now? Try not to use "First"
person. Why have you chosen the issue? Why are they an issue? Minimum of 2 issues

The Answer is a resounding 'No':

There is absolutely no role for nursing theory in contemporary nursing
practice - because practice makes perfect.

I thought that everybody knew that.
