taniak-ga,

I thought I'd be able to provide an answer to your question, but it
turns out the data on the number of English-speakers in the world is
very inconsistent.  The best source of statistics is this Wikipedia
page:

As you can see, there are data on the number of English-speakers for
some Asian countries such as China and the Phillipines, but many
other, such as Japan, Korea and Thailand, have no information (though
I did find an independent source of statistics for Japan).


If you'd like, I can take the available Wikipedia data, and find the
appropriate population data in order to figure out the percent of
English speakers in each country.  However it wouldn't be a complete
list for all Asian countries -- only the ones where the data is
available.

Hi there

Thanks for your response, we currently have the population data
available, so we will just make the calculation based on the Wikipedia
stats from our side.

I dont know why it is so hard to source this type of info, we've been
trying for ages, I guess it's just one of those things...
