ATTENTION ALL RESEARCH ANALYSTS: 
I'm looking for  a talented, highly accurate individual to conduct
some research.  I'm seeking information  specifically related to the
jewelry industry.  More specifically I would like to know how many
retail jewelery stores there were for each of the following years
2000 through 2006.  In addition to the count of retail jewelery stores
I'm looking for any  information on trends showing that there  is a
significant decrease in independent retail jewelery stores each year. 
Included in the data should be the amount of chain jewelry stores
verse independent stores there are in the  USA.  Chain stores would be
comprised of any company owning more then ten stores such as Zales,  
Sterling  Jewelers  (Jarod's, Zales etc.) ,   JC Penny, Sears,
Walmart,Sams Club and Costco   and on so on.

It's not clear from your question how you would like us to answer it. 
Do you want us to:

1.  Give you information on how you can hire a talented and highly
accurate individual to assist you with your project, or...


2.  Undertake the research ourselves on the jewelry business?


If the latter, I'm afraid your query involves an enormous amount of
work, probably much more than can conveniently fit into the Google
Answers framework, with its $200 limit for any question.

What I'm looking for is some one that can do the research I requested.
I need to know how many retail jewelery stores there are in the US for
the years requested....I also need to know how many of the retailers
are independent verses being part of a chain..... I would also be
willing to up the price a little but I need to have this wrapped up
within two weeks from today

I am not a rsearcher but possibly the researchers saw that the
complexity and depth of the answer requred justified a little more
than the $50 offered, hence no quick answer.
