I am searching for a video of the 1970-71 European Inter-Cities Fairs Cup soccer final. My question is: How can I obtain a copy of the video footage of this soccer game? Wikipedia link to this game is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inter-Cities_Fairs_Cup_1970-71 The Final was played over two legs. I am most interested in the first leg, played at the Stadio Comunale, Turin, on 28 May 1971 As the year was 1970-71, I realise there weren't any digital camcorders around, but perhaps a copy is available from the various fan associations for the teams involved in the final (Juventus is a big, big team in Italy and Leeds United are just as big in England), or perhaps the public service broadcasters such as the BBC or it's Italian equivalent. I realise this may be an obscure question, but I would dearly like to know how to obtain a copy as my father scored one the the winning 'away' goals and he has no record of the game. Thanks. Your father scored a goal! I do hope that you can get a copy. Good Luck! Bryan |

Maybe The British National Film and Television Archive www.bfi.org.uk/nftva/ or the The National Football Museum www.nationalfootballmuseum.com/ can help you find out more. |

Have you checked with the Leeds United Fan Club? I bet there's a local fan who would know something! |

Yoiu might try contacting the press department of the British team, or a sports writer for a large British paper. The BBC has an online site you can search. There were certainly video cameras in the early 1970s, so it's possible that the match was taped for broadcast or for study by the teams. And there are probably fan forums, so try asking the question there. |
