I am a film/media composer with my own website
(http://www.alanjmoore.com) where I sell my services as a freelance
soundtrack composer. As this is a part-time job, I'd like to find
additional sources of income.
I want to create a 'sister' website that I can monetize based on a
related music/film theme (eg. composition, composers, how-to-compose,
how-to-compose for film, film music, Beethoven, adding music to
picture/video, etc, etc, etc!).
However, I need to find a music/film related niche that has a broad
enough DEMAND but not too much SUPPLY (ie competition!). I'm looking
to monetize using Google AdSense, music/film affiliate programs, my
own courses, newsletters, subscriptions and eBooks. The idea is that
I build a subscribers list based on great music/film content (which I
will research) and also link to my freelance composition work.
I am a "SiteBuild It!" member (http://buildit.sitesell.com) and have
used their research tools (Overture, Google, etc), but I need an
expert in online marketing to find a suitable, profitable niche before
I start spending hours creating content! I need someone who knows how
to research/manipulate keywords by drilling down to find profitable
niches. Most importantly, I need evidence that the niche is wide
enough to attract worldwide customers/subscribers, but narrow enough
not to have too much competition.
If several niches appear, that would be even better, then I have a choice!
I've been researching for over a week and getting really bogged down
with keyword research! Please help!
Thanks.
