What software tools exist to simulate a wide range of Windows software
applications?

For example, to test a Win32 device driver you may want a program or
set of programs to call every Win32 API call in order to make sure no
bugs appear in the device driver.

I'm looking for a software testing tool that will exercise as many
Win32 API calls as possible. File IO, network IO, async IO, callbacks,
interrupts, etc.

Basically, if you were testing your kernel or operating system to make
sure that it could run every program software developers write, what
would you use for Win32?

You should really ask this in a progamming News Group.

However the generic problem is different flavours of Windows.
