I'm looking for website where you enter in the name of a stock (e.g.
ATT), and a year (e.g. 1965) and a purcahse (e.g. 10 shares) and the
site tells you the total present value of the stock today, or some
other time that you choose, including stocks splits, spun-off stocks
(e.g. spun off from ATT) etc. I found once before but lost the url.
Can you please find the website working as mentioned above?

Yep, I think I got it. Had to search through my bookmarks.
I used this site for last year's tax return to figure out my tax basis
several stocks from my 3Com stock I bought five years a go, which
spun-off to to Palm, reversed splitted, spun off to PalmSource,
renamed to PalmOne, etc. It handled it pretty well; laid it all out
for me. Not sure
if it does every stock in every market, but take a look.

or just

http://www.stocktaxbasis.com

Hope that helps!

Hi guesty-ga,

Thanks for providing the information. That's the good one and I will
keep in my record as well.

In addition to this, I've known that there is some other site that
lists the information in simpler format - just a simple format of :
name of stock/ date purchased /how many purchased (or price)/ future
date/ value at that future date- where you can enter all variables
except one and the site will supply the missing variable. Although
www.stocktaxbasis.com is so compete and detailed, that becomes
somewhat of a disadvantage when tracking large numbers of stocks.

Do you have a simpler site that provides similar information in,
ideally, a one line format?
