Where can I find a directory of UK in-house lawyers?
Preferrably for free, and with their name, company and contact
details. I already have some names from legal500.com.

Alternatively, how can I obtain this info?

Dear mistercurious-ga,

There is an official solicitors database which lists organisations
that have in-house solicitors. The problem is you have to specify the
organisation before it will show you the solicitors and their contact
information (address and telephone numbers). I tried ?crown?,
?department?, and ?limited? as a test and there was a high response
for ?limited? - 1019 results. You would have to go into each record to
view the information. I also note that not all the organisations list
a solicitor or lawyer, so you may get the occasional ?miss?.
Would a link to this database answer your question?
Knowing the organisation, I doubt whether they would be willing to
sell you the database.
