basically these are companies that go to distressed home owners that
are having trouble making mortgage payments. instead of giving back
the house to the bank, these companies help the homeowner pay any
missed payments, and assist them through the process of going through
a foreclosure.

i really dont have a set number, i would appreciate as many names and agencies.
