I want a layout or how-to of building such a layout in the Data Base
program: FileMaker.

When I catalogue movies or musics or just lots and lots of Pdf files,
I want them to be copied into the database .fp7 files so that it will
be self-contained.

That way no additional management is necessary outside the
administration of the database itself. After all, using a database is
the whole point of managing data.

Also, how one can "import" a folder of files, and then have the
scripts sort them according to specified criteria, such as keywords or
file type.

That is a bad idea. Your database will become slow. Its better to
"reference" each file in your db.
