Question ID: 782998
Can anyone help me find out which firm -- or firms -- did the web
design and development for Budweiser's current website
(www.budweiser.com)? Of particular interest -- in addition to the
overall site build-out -- is finding out the development firm behind
their "music mixer" player. Thanks!

The URL of the main page is:
http://www.budweiser.com/default.asp

The source code for default.asp reveals nothing, because the main
page is a 100% frame of:
http://www.budweiser.com/budweiser.asp

The source code for budweiser.asp shows the creator to be Joshua
Dearing:

<!--#################################
  File Name index.html
  Project: Budweiser 2003
Created by: Joshua Dearing ( -_o)/ kono page ha joshua
                        dearing ni yotte tsukurare mashita
  Last Modified by:
  Date Created: XXIII
  Date Modified:
##################################-->

In fact, the entire content of both of the pages, 'default.asp'
and 'budweiser.asp' is an embedded Shockwave Flash Movie, which
can be seen by following this URL:
http://www.budweiser.com/budweiser_2003.swf

In 2003, Joshua Dearing was working for DNA Studio, as seen on
his resume on his personal site:

"Engineer 2, 2001 ? 2005
DNA Studio, Beverly Hills/Century City, California"
http://www.dearingfilm.com/resume.php

DNA Studio has a website here:
http://www.dnastudio.com/index2.html

If you can select about the 3rd from the left of the client
display, you'll see the DNA Studio's Budweiser portfolio
page for the work they did for Anheuser-Busch:
http://www.dnastudio.com/popup.html?id=5&type=project&cat=web

Click on 'View Now' at the bottom, and you can see the original
Budweiser main page designed by Joshua, which has the music player
and the basic design that is still being used today.

The music mixer page has no specifics about any author other
than Joshua, and it's likely that he scripted it along with
the rest of the site code. It uses standard Macromedia Flash
scripting, and the name of the file used is 'mmApp4.swf',
which seems short for 'Music Mixer Application 4', and
suggests that previous versions were created in the process.

It's possible, of course, that other talent from DNA Studios
was involved.

You can always email Joshua at the email address given on
his resume page, above, with further questions.
