Howdy saywhen-ga,

In order to help you with this troubleshooting process, please clarify.

- Do you still have service with Comcast?
- If not, I need to know what service you use.
- Are you trying to use "Outlook" or "Outlook Express?"

Do not post your email address or any other personal information here, just
the answers to the above questions please. Thanks much!

Glad the following worked for you, saywhen-ga, and you are most welcome!

It can be very frustrating to get an incorrectly configured email program
working properly. Here are Comcast's own instructions on how to correct
such a problem.

4. Click to highlight the account name you want to verify or
reconfigure and then click the Properties tab
...
5. Verify that the General tab is displayed. If you wish to change the
Account name to a more easily recognizable (for example, Comcast),
change the name displayed in the Mail Account field.
6. If you wish to edit your name and e-mail address settings, use the
