I'm looking to find high resolution images of European soccer stars in action shots and games. In particular I am looking for Arsenal squad players, however I assume that any site providing one player would likely provide a multitude of them. I am defining high resolution as upwards of 1000 pixels wide or high. I will be using the photos for art, prints, and desktop wallpapers. I will be modifying them for appearance as digital art. I have looked at some stock and press photo companies but one image can cost upwards of $1000 dollars. I would be willing to pay for the images for up to $50 if it suits my needs. I have also tried several google searches, as well as google images, but only to find images that are smaller in size. Most of the images I am finding are less than 500 pixels in one dimension, and therefore won't scale or print very well. I'm looking for an answer that contains a website with up to date press photos from matches that can be purchased one-off or on a subscription basis. Alternatively, any free sites with high resolution images would also do. |

Hi gunnerrific, Two choices are: EMPICS http://www.empics.com/ Allstar Picture Library http://www.allstarpl.com/ You can search both of them to see what's available. (They both have numerous Arsenal photos.) You can then contact them to ask about conditions for use of images and to purchase images. Please let me know if you need clarification of this answer. - justaskscott Search strategy -- Searched on Google for: photo agencies site:uk sport photo agencies site:uk |

My advice, get an HD TV Tuner Card with a PVR; then record some games and grab your own screen shots. (or transfer them off your TIVO and create some stills. |
