i'm trying to change the refresh rate of a TOSHIBA SATELLITE M45-S269 to more than 60Hz. no other choices are available. i've included some screen shots here: http://allergicto60hertz.blogspot.com/2006/11/how-to-get-video-driver-to-show-another.html the display is currently "Plug and Play Monitor" at 1280x800 and 32 bit color. unfortunately, reducing the resolution to 1024x768 does not cause another refresh choice to be exposed, nor does reducing to 16 bit color. when i switch to display #2 (Default Monitor) as shown in the image from the link above, the default is strangely 640x480 with 8 bit color and if i try to change any of the settings for this display choice and hit either apply or ok, no changes take effect. it only seems to accept display #1. thanks. |

What makes you think your monitor can do better than 60 hz. Many laptop displays cannot. |

Hi, unfortunitly, you cannot increase the refresh rate on your laptop screen. But if you were to add a pci videocard, and plug in another monitor, you wil find that you will be able to modify your refresh rate. |
