Mmicknmase --

Are you sure that the number to be converted is 1,050? As an integer,
is is 1,050 or "1,050 and 00/100" in fractional form and 1050.00 in
decimal form but it sounds as if the number being sought is mis-stated
because of the lack of a fractional element.

Best regards,

The number one thousand and fifty (1,050) is not ordinarily written in
either decimal or fraction format, but it certainly can be:

Decimal -- 1050.0

Fraction -- (1050 / 1)

If, in fact, the question is about writing one-thousandth of 50, then
the notations would be:

Decimal -- .05

Fraction -- (50 / 1000) which can be simplified to (1 / 20)

It dawned on me this might be some math homework for school, and that
you might like some extra help. If so, just let me know by posting a
note, here, and I'll provide whatever math homework help I can.

Hi,

I think that the answer to this question would be as follows:

Fraction notation: 1050/1
Decimal notation: 1050.00

Please let me know if this answers your question.
