If I am sending clothing to someone in South Africa (less than $50 worth), what boxes do I need to check? I don't believe clothing is charged a duty, but I don't want to make a mistake and have my friend have to pay to receive the gift. |

A friend of mine sent a package of clothing from Japan to SA and got charged tariffs, can't tell you how unfortunately. He also had a lot of times when packages were stolen once it was in South Africa by postal workers so I would definitely not use them if I were you. Try using a company like DHL or something. |
