Question ID: 786436
I have a laptop Acer Aspire 5601 AWLMi - motherboard unknown but some
labels are shown in one of the pictures - e.g. ZB2MB6E5 seems
possible.

A chip in the inverter that deals with the battery has blown up and
it's type is no longer readable and I want to find out what it is so I
can repair the board.

pictures are at www.destinyplus.com/laptoppics

The component reference on the PCB is PQ39 and a picture clearly shows
its position just to the right of the main battery connector at the
bottom of the picture.

Hello chillpill,

Thank you for your question.

The first thing i would do is speak to ACER and see if they can source
you a new motherboard. If they can't, ask what motherboard type you
need and search on Ebay for it.

Use this website to find your closest center.
