On the afternoon/evening of Tuesday 28/11/06 and during the day
29/11/06, I observered many sailors walking the streets of Sydney
city. The sailors were of an asian appearance (possibly Chinese). I am
interested in which navy boat (and country) is currently in Sydney and
where it is docked.

Perhaps they are sailors of the Royal Australian Navy who are of the
same ethnic origin, or maybe Japanese, since at the date you posted
this question, a Japanese WW2 mini-sub wreck somewhere off Sydney had
been found two days earlier. News can be seen here:

Royal Australian Navy - heritage - weapons - equipment - ships
http://australiandefencereport.com.au/royal-australian-navy.htm

And not even this site of the RAN mentions a visiting ship.
