polderis-ga,

Microwaves might not help. Have a look at this article:

Hello polderis,

Thank you for your question.

I have spoken to a boat hull repair specialist and the specialist has
told me that microwaves are not an effective way of drying out an
osmosis damaged hull.

They did, however, refer me to this website:

http://www.osmotech.co.uk/osmosistreatment.php

The specialist mentioned that the two most effective forms are:

--Infra-red heat lamps positioned to direct heat right onto the hull of the boat

--Hotvac drying machines

After speaking to them, I did a search on Hotvac and found this:

Hotvac
http://www.hotvac.com/

That is a link to the manufacturer?s website with a lot of videos
showing you how the process works.

Hotvac video
http://www.hotvac.com/resources/movies/hotvac_p.wmv

Hotvac technical video
http://www.hotvac.com/resources/movies/hotvac_t.wmv

The short answer to your question is, NO there is not a microwave
based boat dryer. I hope that the alternative solutions I found for
you work out! Best of luck.

Search strategy:
--local boat specialist
--on Google:
    -- hotvac

If you need any clarification or additional help, let me know and
I'll be glad to assist you.
