I'm dealing with a TYAN s3870 motherboard that i have to build and change bios settings extremely often. I'm looking to automate this process via a shell command line and have been unable to find an easy way to manipulate the BIOS settings. I've tried using a serial port to access the bios, and I can pass it an "f2" to get to bios remotely, but its nearly impossible to script and read it very effectively. I'm looking for a way to flash the bios remotely and/or read or edit the configuration. I dont even mind setting the bios the way I like, reading the BIOS settings for the multiple configurations i need to test, but I need to be able to flash or change the bios to these different configurations quickly, hopefully in a shell script. Anyone know how to do this? I can't find information from Tyan regarding how to do this or what to use - im afraid to do too many "tests" because i dont want to fry my motherboards. Big tip for a useful answer |
