Dear stangol-ga,

The current divorce rate is 3.6 per 1000 people in the US as of April
2006 (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr55/nvsr55_05.pdf)

That decreases by 30% with a household income over $50,000 according
to the site listed below.

That takes it to 2.52 divorces per 1000 people.
