Good night, and best wishes to all GA researchers.
Remember always that the 1st. amendment was put first for a reason.
In the opinion of many, the First Amendment is what sets the U.S. apart.
In my opinion, it is what sets us apart from the animals. That
includes the ones with two legs and no feathers who only look human.
If the First Amendment means anything, it means that a state has no
business telling a man, sitting alone in his house, what books he may
read or what films he may watch.
Thurgood Marshall
Everything I did in my life that was worthwhile, I caught hell for.
Earl Warren
I can't claim to be in that lofty group, I only catch hell for about half
of what I do, mostly because I don't suffer fools gladly and, having
actually had the dangerous experience of reading AND UNDERSTANDING
"The origin of Species...." believe in Darwin - SS
Respecting Holmes (O.W., not Sherlock- you idiot) because I actually
read his opinion:
United States Supreme Court case Schenck v. United States in 1919,
Oliver Wendell Holmes did NOT say that you shouldn?t shout ?fire? in a
crowded theater, he said in the majority opinion, ?Free speech would
not protect a man FALSELY shouting fire in a theater."
What if the theater really IS on fire?
The true father of our country was George, but Mason, not Washington.
?Sometimes you HAVE to yell FIRE in a crowded theater because yelling
