Hi leorw, I'm italian and I've tried a research on our yellow pages (www.paginegialle.it, it's in english too) on the main industrial areas in italy looking for Gicar. I found many "gicar" but no one in the manufacturing area. Searching on Google I've found very few pages reporting this name, all of them from american websites. This result made me think of a typo error, or of a very old name, no more used (Gicar results in the part list of a 1901 coffee machine...) . So I searched for producers of espresso machine parts, and I found Grimac. The name is quite similar, they exist since 30 years and have worldwide diffusion. They're specialized in Coffee machine parts and provide parts to the following companies AURORA ASTORIA BIANCHI BEZZERA BRASILIA CARIMALI CIMBALI ETERNA FAEMA FUTURMAT GAGGIA GAGGIA BABY MARZOCCO MULTICA CONTI PAVONI RANCILIO SAN MARCO SIMONELLI SPAZIALE UNIC VIBIEMME WEGA Their full address is: Grimac srl via Morazzo, 2 40069 Zola Predosa - Bologna Italy Ph. +39 051 755 668 - Fax +39 051 750 789 e-mail: info@grimac.net www.grimac.net I hope they can be the ones you're looking for... Have a nice day, Galahad |

Gicar Electronics

I have good news and bad news. The "bad" news is that I wasn't able to find a direct contact for Gicar Electronics--it doesn't look like they have a web presence, and I couldn't see anywhere else that published that info. The good news, though, is that I acknowledge that such a company exists! =) And I think I found what is likely the next best thing, or at least a continuation on your search. I assume you want to get in contact with them so that you can get parts for your espresso machine. If that's the case, check out http://www.farmingtoneng.com/htms/parts.htm From their web site: "Farmington Engineering is the North American distributor for several Italian original equipment component manufacturers for coffee machines. "We have an expansive inventory of solenoid valves, pressure switches, pumps, motors, and electric controls. "We also stock Fluid-o-Tech rotary vane and oscillating piston pumps and Gicar level regulators, probes and electronic control boards for various espresso and cappuccino machines. Please call for more Information regarding other available parts." Check out the link for the "Product Selection Guide" to see some of the parts they stock, including Gicar "level regulators," "flow meters," "probes," and more. They're in Connecticut, and ship overnight. You could be sipping new and improved espresso by tomorrow evening. =) Hopefully this is more on target with what you were looking for! |

Gicar is actually listed on many sites. Try searching the terms "gicar Italy OR Italia" or "gicar espresso" |
