Hello and thank-you for your question.

I thought I would find long lists of suggestions for you, perhaps in
the online travel sections of the broadsheet newspapers, perhaps on a
travel site, but so many places are urging you to go off skiing or
travel south for sunshine that that plan didn't work.
In the end I found a combination of search techniques on Google was
the best solution, so after I've told you about some hotel breaks I'll
explain my search strategy so you can look into further possibilities
if you want to.

The typical rate for a three night break (24th to 27th) seems to be
about £350 so I'll start in that price bracket

Around £350
...........

The Glebe Hotel between Stratford and Warwick

"Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful Christmas at the Glebe Hotel. Located
in the village of Barford only seven miles from Stratford upon Avon
and three miles from Warwick. A warm welcome awaits you at this
privately owned, Georgian style hotel with thirty-nine individually
styled en-suite bedrooms.
The above package is £349.00 each person sharing a twin or double
room from the 24th December for three nights and includes afternoon
tea and cakes on arrival, Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day
breakfast, lunch and dinner, Boxing Day breakfast, lunch and dinner
and breakfast on the 27th."

The Ardencote Manor Hotel, near Warwick, set in 42 acres of parkland

"Christmas Day - Breakfast in the Palms Conservatory - you'll find
your present under the tree! Then the main event - sumptuous 5 course
Christmas Day Feast. Accompanying music from our Resident Pianist. In
the evening, a light dinner followed by a night of fun & games with
our resident Quiz Master."

Thistle Hotel, Stratford

This is a 'murder mystery' Christmas break which might not be at all
what you're looking for, but I've included it because I know exactly
where the hotel is and can vouch for its excellent location:

"In Stratford upon Avon for a cosy Christmas break of mystery, history
and culture. The Thistle Hotel provides the style, comfort and
atmosphere of an English Country House, as your home from home.
Superbly situated opposite the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatre
overlooking the river Avon."

"String of Horses",near Lymington, Hampshire

-----------------------------------------------------------------

4 nights for £475
.................

Forestdale Hotels, a chain including many in the Home Counties, offer
4 night Christmas breaks for £475. They include hotels in Brighton,
Eastbourne and Arundel, Sussex.

Here's one of their hotels in Hampshire:
"Situated within the magnificent New Forest countryside, the Forest
Park Hotel is a relaxed, comfortable environment in which to get away
from it all. There are riding stables within its four acres of grounds
and plenty of other activities to keep the kids happy nearby. All
rooms have views over the forest or secluded garden and swimming pool.
In the winter months a blazing log fire welcomes you to this fine
country house hotel."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to keep costs down to about £250, a hotel In Solihull is
well placed for trips to the places you mention:

"CHRISTMAS IN THE HEART OF ENGLAND
Three nights full board at the 4 star Renaissance Hotel, Solihull with
full leisure facilities. Good festive menus and Christmas afternoon
teas, a welcome drinks reception and dance music after dinner each
night, plenty of festive activities including carol singing and
quizzes are included. Also a visit to Warwick Castle and Stratford on
Avon.
Tue 24 – 27 December, 4 days/3 nights from £269.95"

Now the luxury end of the market, where three nights cost around £550

Mallory Court Hotel, Bishops Tachbrook near Leamington

"On Christmas Eve the boys choir from St Mary ’s church,Warwick will
join us to sing carols, whilst dinner is served in the dining room.
Afterwards, why not join the midnight service at the nearby 18th
century St.Chads church in the village of Bishops Tachbrook, return to
the hotel for a warming glass of mulled wine and mince pies, before you
retire for the evening."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found this kind of search most successful:

You can repeat that for every location you might be interested in by
deleting Hampshire and inserting another place. (If you want more
technical points, note that putting Christms OR festive, with OR in
capitals, means that the search will look for either of those word.)

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if anything is unclear or
if you have trouble with any links.

Enjoy a wonderful Christmas.
