Does it matter whether an FCC license is required?

So far I have found one model that appears to include all your options
WITHOUT requiring an FCC license.

Hands-free operation for maximum agility
Uses NiMH rechargeable battery (included)
Battery Charger
Up to 2 Miles Range
14 FRS channels/38 privacy codes
Keypad Lock
10 selectable call tones
Channel Scan with programmable scan list
Hands-free use with selectable sensitivity
Auto Power Off
Eavesdrop Reducer with three scramble settings
Vibration option
Talk Confirmation Tone option ("over" or "roger")
Clock with Alarm and Stopwatch
Weather - with 8 channels & alert
Weather resistant
Scramble Option with 3 settings
Noise Filter
Thermometer
Digital compass
altimeter
barometer
Removable Swivel Belt Clip
User Manual
One Year Limited Warranty

Is "Weather-Resistant" acceptable?

What sort of quantities will you be buying?

Anywhere from 300 monthly to a 1000 a month. Weather resistant is fine.

The one you found doesn't appear to have the 83 or more
dcs(digital)channels.Which is the most important feature.

toc,

So far, I have only found one radio that meets all your requirements
(I *think* it does not require an FCC license), but nobody seems to
have it. I have found several that have all but one criterium:
water/splash resistant, vibration, hands-free VOX, not 38 channels,
FCC licensing. Is there any one of these things you'd be willing to
give up?

Otherwise, I'm pretty much running out of steam. Perhaps another
Researcher more knowlegeable than me (as if that's saying much!) might
be willing to tackle your case.

Regards,
aceresearcher
