Where I can I find and purchase a copyof a sports documentary that has
appeared on hbo? This film has a story about NFL player Jim Thorpe.
It shows him at his celebrity golf tournament in Baton Rouge for the
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Treatment Center. This film was made around
1992-1995. I have never seen the film but have been told by several
people it is a Where are they now story.

Are you sure that this documentary contained a story about Jim Thorpe?
Jim Thorpe died in 1953; the center eventually known as the Mary Bird
Perkins Cancer Center was chartered in 1968 and opened in 1971.

the past 13 years.

Could you be thinking of another athlete who participated in a Mary
Bird Perkins celebrity golf tournament?

Hi bajean-ga

You asked:

Jim Taylor was a fullback for the Green Bay Packers from 1958-1966,
and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1976. You can
read a short bio of him and watch a video about him at:
http://www.packers.com/team/players/taylor_jim/

However, the above video is not the one you mentioned, so you may not
accept this as an answer. (That's why I'm submitting this as a
comment.) You can try searching for other videos on Jim Taylor at
www.nflfilms.com. (It's likely the HBO footage you saw came from NFL
films.) I tried searching for video on Taylor at the nflfilms.com
site, but had a difficult time getting the site to load. You may have
more luck.
