Would like to buy. Must be in A1 condition, fully operational, clean,
unmarred.
The record turntable is vertically mounted. The unit has AM, FM radio,
Hi Fi Stereo capability and heavy duty output amplifier. There is a
cassette tape unit built in. Do not need speakers. Google has been
unable to locate so far or I don't know how to specify. Ebay does not
have one.

I should have added that I have one of the X-10s. The tape deck works
fine. The power supply is OK. What I really need is the main
electronics section with the cassette tape unit; so if anyone has the
functioning main electronics boards that would be fine. Or if they had
the whole unit with functioning main electronics but other parts not
so hot. Thanks

Hi Norton55,

I found someone who has a MGA/Mitsubishi Interplay System X-10. I am
not at all sure if he wants to sell it. He posted a message in 1994
(!) saying there was a problem with his system with the turntable.
There were no follow-ups or replies to this message. It seems like the
electronics are fine at that time.

"FOR SALE
MITSUBISHI STEREO SYSTEM
Unidue built in Vericale Turntable
DOLBY STEREO
Huge LED Functionality Display
Remote Control
$225/bo
Originaly $500+"
This person does not say anything about the system - whether it is an
X-10 or not. Maybe it is worth a try!

There was an X-12 for sale in 1997 at

Yet another possibility:

The discussion is about an X-12 system. What is interesting in this is
one of the replies - this is someone you can talk to find out if
repairs are possible.
"I am quite familiar with and done quite a few repairs on the Mitz
Interplay upright AM-FM, vertical fold out phono systems..... they
were top of
the line units in their day and if working properly still sound real
nice."

Well, this is as far as I have reached as of now. I'm looking out for
some more leads. Please do get back to me if you need anything else!
Maybe I can find you a place that may undertake repairs and have
genuine spares.

Warm regards
