Greetings! I have located some employer web sites that offer benefits
to part-time workers. These should give you various ideas:

Regarding HR practioners, they are the people responsible for
developing and administering employee programs and assistance. Here

Request for Answer Clarification by viviankuo-ga on 20 Oct 2002 22:14 PDT
How about the benefit for part-time employees from themselves, not
just only come from company. I mean such as the flexibiltity to pursue
family and educational interest . something like this.

Clarification of Answer by journalist-ga on 21 Oct 2002 19:44 PDT
Flexibility to pursue interests like you mention would still relate to
what an employer/company allowed. With such things as family, there
is a family leave act in the US which allows for leaving a job for a
determined period of time without fear of losing it. To read more
about that law, please visit
http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/29/ch28.html (Google search phrase
"family leave act").

For educational purposes, some companies' HR programs might offer
flexible schedules for continuing education, or even offer to
reimburse the employee if he/she pursues courses which will benefit
their employment. Here is an employer policy that covers tuition:
http://www.ius.edu/journalism/2000/110600-casino.html (search phrase
"employer pays college tuition for").

A Human Resources manager/administrator would be responsible for
setting up the criteria for these programs, so their flexibility could
vary greatly. I hope this answer to your additional question proves
of assistance and if you need further clarification, please ask.
