Do you mean the UCSD Medical "Center"? As far as I can tell, the
actual Medical School doesn't see patients. They show a medical
facility @ 200 West Arbor Drive in San Diego and  @ 9300 Campus Pointe
Drive in La Jolla. Can you verify which facility you are wanting the
number for and I can help you out.

You are correct as I want the medical center connected to the UCSD
medical school.  My grandson was given an acne treatment that has
caused a great deal of his hair to fall out. The dermatologist he was
seeing says it is just early male pattern baldness.  My dermatologist
suggested that we take him to someone from the medical school as she
believes there could many other causes and a medical school center was
the place to go.  Since there is no male pattern baldness on either
side of the family, you can imagine this is tough on a seventeen year
old kid.  Thanks for your help.

They don't list the phone numbers or extensions for the individual
specialities within the medical facility, but I'm certain by calling
the main patient information line, they can transfer you to the
Dermatology department so that you can schedule an appointment. You
will probably need a referral by your grandson's primary physician
however.
