Greetings Googel!
1. Yes - I believe that regular flossing is essential to healthy teeth
and gums.
2. Yes - I spent approximately 4 minutes looking at the instructions
today and about 5 minutes the other day when I visited your original
question. Your invention piqued my interest because of the one-handed
method - easy to floss while doing another task. From your photos, it
is clear how to use the product but I would have liked to have seen
the pictures a bit larger, and possibly separated into '1,2,3,4,etc'
picture blocks. I wear glasses and the photos of the "Using 14-19
inches" were a little difficult for me to see as they were a bit
fuzzy.
3. Yes - I would use this item frequently. I like the concept and I
believe it has the potential to be a good seller. When I first saw it
the other day, I thought "I could floss at the computer while still
using the mouse." It's a multi-tasker's dream. lol
ON MARKETING: I am curious to know if you have a brand name for the
item besides "floss tensioner". Your name aptly describes the product
but a shorter name might better market and sell the item. Whenever I
visit my dentist for cleanings, he gives me a toothbrush, travel-size
toothpaste and travel-size floss. If you are planning on doing
special give-aways of the floss tensioner, I would suggest you market
it to the American Dental Association and similar dentists' groups. I
think many people would welcome your product and use it.
I wish you great success with this invention! |

Oh my, Journalist,
Bull to the point.
I tried to leave merely a comment for you but it's vot in service to
gove you a chance to decide if you want to check back here or not.
You believe in the importance of ... i suffered from the lack of it,
which is called as you know 'necessity'. So you can have a better
understanding of the history of the product and it's properties.
No, no brand name. To me it's such an obvious piece of plastic that --
as i wrote it today-- i thought that no explanations are needed for
it. And here we are after years.
So, unfortunately there was no need for a brandname.
Thank you very much, indeed.
It's not the best i can wish to you, but it's good , and it's to get
to using these f. tensioners (it will not hurt me either).
My best wishes to you.

Dear Googel:
Thank you for your generous rating of my opinion. I agree that the
floss tensioner is "an obvious piece of plastic" but in today's
marketing fray, catchy names sell products. With your permission, I
will keep the floss tensioner in the forefront of my mind and, if I
come up with any product names that I feel might suit the item, I'll
post them here in the clarification space.

Hi Googel,
I haven't formally "answered" any of your questions, but did make a
posted comment and apparently you liked my comment because you thanked
me, and applied my suggestion for adding an explanation on your
website. So, with that in mind I'll answer this for you.
1.Are you flossing frequently using only floss,2 hands and nothing
else?
Frequently, two hands, only floss.
2.Is it clear from this web-page how to use this product, and how many
minutes have you (the researcher) spent on it?
Text added is very helpful.
I spent 10 minutes viewing.
3.The Researcher is asked to answer with one word the question of
whether he/she would use it at least seldom/partly?
Yes!
4.Please give the most cents you would pay for a sixpack.
$8.00 US dollars.

Dear Googel:
Thanks for the update on your exchange with the other researcher. :)
I found your remarks concerning my work to be very gracious and
flattering, and it is a pleasure being a part of your market study.
I'm still keeping the floss tensioner in my thoughts and may have a
couple of name suggestions for you by the end of the week. I keeo
thinking, "What kind of name would catch my attention and make me want
to try it?"

Tripod vs. geocities.
I cannot use anymore my Geocities site at Yahoo for all my needs,
therefore i have set up another site at Tripod at the advice of one of
the researchers who was complaining about the sluggishness of Geo and
prefering Tripod.
How can one, if it's possible at all, change the username and name of
a site at tripod if so wanted?

Hi there,
Tripod say it isn't possible:
Q. Can my member name be changed?
A. Technically, no. Your member name, once it's chosen, is stored in
several places on our servers. That makes changing the name pretty
much impossible. If you really want a new member name, you'll need to
delete your current member name and sign up with Tripod again. It's
just one more reason to choose your member name with care!

Of course you can signup using a new name, and then upload your site
to the new account.

Dear Googel:
Thank you for the information and here is why I keep responding: When
you ask for a clarification, GA puts a highlight on the question in my
account and sends me alert emails until I respond to the clarification
request.
HOW TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING: If you will begin to post these
updates ONLY in the Comments section, this will stop happening. The
only way for me to clear your request for a clarification is to answer
again in this Clarification area. If you respond to this message in
the Clarification section again, it will again highlight your question
in my account and I'll have to answer here again to clear it. By
using the Comments section, this won't happen.
If for some reason the same thing happens in your account, please
contact Google Answers to see if there is a way to stop the
highlighting in the Clarification area.
