When Mellon Financial Services Corporation acquired HBV Capital Management LLC in June 2002, which documents was Mellon required to file with 1. the FSA (Financial Services Authority) in the UK and 2. the corresponding regulatory agency in the USA? |

Hello Josephgeorge, Thanks for your question. According to a Director of Investments over at Mellon Financial Services, since HBV was already registered with both the FSA in the United Kingdom and the SEC in the United States, change of control notifications had to be filed with both regulators before the transaction could be completed. In addition, Form ADV, a portion of which is available on the SEC website, had to be amended immediately following the acquisition by Mellon. I hope this helps. Best Regards, watershed-ga |
