Hi Peecee,
Please let me know if you are running Windows XP. Meanwhile you can go
through possible solutions to your problem
----- SOLUTION-I -----
When you downloaded SPAMKILLER for the first time, it must have made a
file, something like 'spamkiller.exe' on your PC. You then either
double-clicked on it to install it or you used the 'open' command on
the download dialog box. If you find this file which is residing on
your PC and double-click to re-install SPAMKILLER, it should work.
Also, please try uninstalling the old non-working installation of
SPAMKILLER before doing this.
---- SUGGESTION - VIRUS SCAN ---------
Have you checked your PC for any viruses lately? Please use the online
virus scan from TREND.
It is free of cost and will effectively remove any viruses from your
PC. If it cannot remove any virus, it will identify the virus and
probably also give you instructions on how to manually eliminate it
form your machine.
--------- SOLUTION II (workarounds) ----------
Be sure to uninstall any previous installations of this software
before trying the following!
Another possibility is to download any free TRIAL versions of
SPAMKILLER.

VERSION 4.0
----------
DOWNLOAD.COM has some interesting comments from users of SPAMKILLER
4.0 :
"Will Not Work Under My XP Pro"
"I am running WIN 2000 sp3 and until I installed McAfee.com SpamKiller
had NO problems. After I installed this program I began to get access
errors involving the comctl32.dll in 3rd party software that I have
used since my WIN 98 days. The errors and accompanying problems did
not stop till I removed the program. McAfee screws up yet another
great program. I had used the original Spamkiller for two years with
no problems. Sadly I cannot re-install the old Spamkiller progie. Do
not upgrade to the McAfee version of Spamkiller if you have the old
version"
CNET user options rate this software with a 'thumb-down' of 73% from
11 votes.
"A good product but virtually nonexistant support"
SpamKiller is the best anti-spam product that I've tried. However,
after McAfee acquired SpamKiller they have been less than committed to
providing decent support. They treat it like a poor relative and
provide no chat support, no e-mail support, no phone support. Finding
someone, anyone at McAfee who will respond to inquiries about
Spamkiller is next to impossible."

SOLUTION-I seems like a proper solution to your problem - unless you
have already tried it and the problem still persists! Please try it
and let me know how it goes. There are several workarounds in
SOLUTION-II in any case.
If you are satisfied with this, please let me know if I can post it as
an answer.
Warm regards
