I know there is some sort of Ultimate Fighting (Pride fights, etc)
that is taking place at the Tokyo Dome on Monday, October 28th. I saw
a TV advertisement for it, but can't remember the details. The Tokyo
Dome website reveals no details. Who can tell me where the
ass-whooping is going down? How much does it cost, what are the
classes of seats, where do I reserve them (in English), etc.

Bonus points for whoever can tell me the least-expensive train route
to the venue from Soka, Saitama-ken.

Well, it appears I was mistaken about there being a fight. I could
have sworn I saw a TV ad for it. Anyway, looking at the Pride Fights
website, the cheapest tickets (standing room) start at 7000 yen! To
sit, it's 25,000! Gah, so much for the idea of attending a match.

http://www.tokyo-dome.co.jp/cgi-bin/schedule/User/hall/schedule-hall.cgi

appears to give the schedule for wrestling, etc. events at the Dome...

This appears to be a Ultimo Dragon Gym event:

Best I can do...

vermack,

Puroresu Power at http://www.puroresupower.com/ is a great English
language source of information on Japanese pro wrestling and martial
arts fighting news. However, there is nothing listed for a show at the
Tokyo Dome on October 28th.

I notice that October 26th and October 27th are Games 1 & 2 of the
Japan Series at the Tokyo Dome, so maybe the date was postponed? If
so, maybe is the November 24th Pride Show you are thinking of?
According to the Japanese Pride site at http://www.so-net.ne.jp/pride/
the main event is Nobuhisa Takada vs Kiyoshi Tamura.

The cheapest way I can think of to get from Soga to Suidobashi (the
nearest JR station to the Tokyo Dome) is take the Sotobo line to
Chiba, then take the Sobu line to Suidobashi. This should cost 740
yen one way.

By the way, the previous comment refers not to the Tokyo Dome, but to
the nearby Korakuen, a much smaller venue the plays host to boxing and
wrestling shows several times a week.

Sorry I couldn't answer your question!
