Hi, Found some websites which describe this answer for you really
well. So instead of copying most of their effort I'll use the
hyperlink option with some paragraph abstracts. Spend some time here
on this first one, the site has a lot of inside information on SAP and
ERP.
SAP ERP Solutions - Good & bad sides of SAP
http://www.tek-tips.com/gviewthread.cfm/lev2/78/lev3/80/pid/649/qid/383301
"SAP is the real thing in ERP systems. It has modules that implement
all data needs for business. This is not the case for most of it's
compeditors, some of whom claim ERP status for little more than
Invoices & Inventory control.
As a Programmer I have personally dealt with the Sales, Purchasing,
Inventory Management, Production Planning, Quality Management, and
Human Resources functionality in R/3. They all work together, and they
all have a huge amount of flexibility in how they can be made to work.

Queries Used
+SAP +ERP +Troubleshooting
Note: Anytime I want to really find out about a new software system I
always look for the troubleshooting areas on the web, and then I look
at all the hype in the marketing areas. This gives me a clearer idea
of what the software really does. Simply comparing the first area I
listed for you and the SAP.com website will show you what I mean.
